JUNE 21, 2026 KANSAS: FATHER'S DAY RAGING BEASTLY SUPERCELLS
Finally got ahead of the initial supercell near Atwood, KS. Great structure. Lots of organized scud rising into the base.
Silver Lining Tour 8 guests out of the vans and enjoying the storm.
Major stout inflow tail into the storm as it got closer. Great to visit with other chaser friends while we watched the storm approach while waiting in this big dirt parking lot!
Something about this shot I really love. Wide open plains of northwest Kansas. Couple of grain elevators in the distance. Beautiful inflow tail into the storm updraft and rain curtains underneath. Great stuff.
New supercell really getting it's act together northwest of Colby, Kansas. Bailed on our initial storm as it started to weaken some and this new storm echo top was exploding further south.
Supercell going beast mode after moving right over Colby. Now approaching Monument and Oakley, Kansas areas as we got in position to the south on Hwy 83.
Tornado warned storm near Elkader, Kansas. Lowering on the storm to the right where it should be and another suspicious lowering on the far left. Definitely not fully outflow dominant just yet here.
Great storm to shoot wide and capture the structure! Again that lowering on the left was real close to the ground and very suspicious but looks like scud being pulled in to me.
One more. What a great storm! Really enjoyed the structure.
